SABRE, short for ‘stabilised aerobic or anaerobic bioengineered reaction environment’ is designed to mimic the ability of oysters to filter and purify water. The Smart Ops research team has created SABRE Spheres, developed from seaweed waste that contain targeted natural bacteria and enzymes, which mimic the ability of oysters to naturally filter and breakdown substrates.
Watch our video to learn more and see it in action.
Our modular and multi-stage decentralised sequential continuous-flow reactor (SCR) system harnesses the unique properties of our SABRE Spheres to accelerate the treatment of water and air, using a fraction of the energy, land and labour requirements of large infrastructure projects.
Ability to meet treatment needs from a hyperlocal to municipal level
Highly energy efficient, lower labour and infrastructure needs
Through our modular approach alongside local manufacturing
Highly space efficient minimising land use
